About ST Teleport

ST Teleport is a full-service satellite communications solution provider that connects businesses seamlessly and reliably through a diverse network of major satellite systems, terrestrial network infrastructures and Internet exchanges.

ST Teleport serves Asia’s broadcasting, telecommunications and corporate markets, supporting television networks and providing satellite communications and value-added services including satellite uplink/downlink and turnaround, programme origination and playout, on-site SNG services, international gateway and VSAT services, IP multicast, and studio services.

Since its inception in 1994, ST Teleport’s operation grew to a full-fledged earth station centre with more than 20 satellite antennae and processes more than 50 channels through its facility. It also operates an STM-1 fibre link between its Singapore facility and its video / Data PoP in Los Angeles, California, USA. Through this fibre link, ST Teleport provides switched digital video services for broadcasters interested in having their content delivered across the

Pacific Ocean. ST Teleport also offers data/IP services on this link with IP transit connection with a tier-one operator in the United States.

ST Teleport’s hybrid satellite-fibre infrastructure and services are recognised worldwide in the industry as one of the best in Asia. Major operators also adopt the infrastructure as part of their global hybrid satellite-fibre network. In July 2005, the International Olympic Committee appointed ST Teleport as the Host Broadcaster for the 117th IOC Session held in Singapore and where the host city for the 2012 Olympics was elected and broadcast worldwide.
