For major news conferences and breaking news, ST Teleport’s deployment of International Broadcast Centre (IBC) provides a whole suite of services from ‘live’ stand-up position, to IFB co-ordination, tape playout and tape-editing facility for the news people. A fly-away DSNG is provided so that news can be transmitted real-time on-site when the events start to unfold.
ST Teleport Production, SNG crew and Technical Co-ordinators will handle the technical aspects of the news gathering so that your News Team only need to just focus on capturing the news.

As part of our Special Events Delivery, we also offer Alternative Content. Secured transmission over satellite/fibre is possible for store and forward application, for example the delivery of movies from a distribution point to digital cinemas simultaneously where the content is securely stored in video servers. A ‘live’ simulcast of a digital cinema is also possible, for example a launch of a blockbuster movie.
Other alternative content includes satellite/fibre delivery for e-learning, concerts, entertainment programmes like awards ceremony, interviews with singers and movie stars, sports entertainment, religious conferences, medical conferences and private events. This content can also be shown in cinemas, golf and country clubs, hotels, schools, offices, etc. |

ST Teleport’s Switched Digital Video Service provides a cost-effective real-time content delivery service for TV and Broadcast programming through our hybrid space and terrestrial infrastructure. With points-of-presence and teleport access facilities in Singapore and California, the Service provides coverage to all parts of the world.
SDV guarantees constant bandwidth for customer’s video signal by employing industrial standard ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) transmission technology. This means that video and audio signals are delivered jitter-free and without loss of data. |

The Service is offered in four grades, so customers may select the appropriate service resolution to suit their transmission needs: |

DQ (DTH Quality) streams are compressed and transmitted at 3-4 Mbps per channel. This service grade is suitable for delivering programming channels meant for uplinking to a direct broadcast platform. |
| |

The BQ (Broadcast Quality) service grade is suitable for transmitting ‘movement intensive’ programming such as sports by providing up to 6 Mbps guaranteed bandwidth per channel. |
| |
|
SQ (Studio Quality) service grade at 8 Mbps is commonly used for programme contribution, production and quality transmission to broadcast and cable head-ends. |

|
HD (High Definition) service grade is a custom service for premium content with transmission rate as high as 45 Mbps, corresponding to one full transponder. |

Recognising the increasing needs of broadcasters, whether for a full-time or ad hoc distribution in Asia, ST Teleport has put in place a MCPC/SCPC video platform which covers the greater Asian region extensively.
For broadcasters who are looking at launching new channels or migration of existing channels, we offer a turnkey solution including signal origination, ground segment facilities and satellite space segment. Ground segment facilities and space segment are made ready so that channels can be launched within very short notice and with minimum set-up works.
Through our extensive fibre and ground segment facilities, we also offer full-time video channels turnaround from other Continents eg. from North America and Europe to Asia with a seamless connection.
